We left Spokane on the afternoon of Memorial Day to head to London, Ontario for Kristina and Aaron’s wedding. We drove. I’d never been east of Montana, so it was an adventure for me!
On June 4 we crossed into Ontario from Michigan and made our way to London where our hotel was and where the reception would be taking place the following day. We unloaded our stuff, had a couple hours to grab a snack and rest, and then headed off to Tillsonburg for the rehersal held by Father Moe.
Saturday morning we arrived at Kristina and Aaron’s parents’ houses to begin pictures with the dressings of the bride and groom ‚Äî they were only a few houses apart fortunately! Everything ran right according to Kristina’s schedule and the ceremony was at 1:00 pm at the church with wedding party and family photos to be done after.
The ceremony went great, especially with Father Moe’s rendition of Forever Young. The weather managed to hold despite the rain torrent the night before and everyone headed to the Annandale House for photos. For those of you around here, the Annandale House is a historic house in Tillsonburg similar to the Glover or Patsy Clark mansions here in Spokane.
We were lucky enough to be given plenty of time for photos, so we hit up a number of locations and made it back to the hotel in London in time for everyone to have a short break before the reception. It was hot and humid that day, so this was very, very welcome! The reception itself went off without a hitch and we were out of there and back to our room just after 1:00 am.
On the trip back we crossed through Niagara Falls, into New York, and made the brief stop at the Statue of Liberty before turning around to head back west. 14 states and 1 province later after 5,700 miles, we’re home.
Here are a few from the wedding!
